Our first lesson is always free! This will be an informal lesson where we can go over your or your child’s goals for English and I get a sense of your English strength.

Lessons and tutoring are 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes). I also make time after lessons to maintain your curriculum/progress notes afterward.
We can meet at your home, a quiet public place,your company or my place! Whatever is best for you!

English Technical Academy has a long term vision for having Jukus and Specialty Technical English Japan. While in Japan, Shawna Sensei saw the need for an English school that teaches both traditional English classes and STEM (Science, technology, Engineering & Math) oriented English for Japanese students of all ages. Shawna is pursuing this vision and is accepting students to build her Juku. MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) is advancing the English curriculum in Japan. English Technical Academy is aware of this ambitious goal and will support students.
The 21st Century will be a century of rapid technological advancement and traditional teaching methods need some modernization; after seeing first-hand how Japanese students can learn both Japanese and English at the same time and realizing that if children are exposed to STEM early on, Japanese children can “grow up” learning English STEM. English Technical Academy wants to see your child be prepared for the 21st Century. If you are an adult I can strengthen your English skills, too!
My method is to evaluate each student, make a curriculum tailored for their needs and track their progress. I always welcome your feedback and if you feel we need to adjust the curriculum, I will do so.
